A World of Media
Your virtual booth is a showcase for presenting your products, literature, and corporate message. Just like a physical booth, you control what material you want displayed, and when you want to display it. This Media Production Guide shows how easy it is to make an impact at VirtualDACafe Summer 2003.

Your Booth Management Console
You update and populate your booth with material directly from your desktop using an on-line password protected booth management console. In it you can upload material to appear instantly in your booth, send us raw files for web-ready conversion and placement, and assign links to material that resides on a web server.
To send raw files such as Flash files, mpegs, .avi movies, images, PowerPoint presentations, or Word documents, browse your desktop for the file, and press 'Send It!' Your files are sent directly to our booth management team for processing and placement.

|
Literature and Press Releases
You can "hand-out" written material to attendees when they visit your booth.
Provide literature and product information as an Adobe Acrobat pdf file or as a link to material on your web site. If you are unable to convert your Word documents to pdf files, just upload them from your desktop to our booth manager for processing and placement.
Press Releases can be sent as pdf files or can reside either on your site, another site, or on one of our sites. Enter the press release's headline and it's link in your user interface and it is automatically listed and activated in your booth's drop-down Press Releases menu.

Booth Duty Photo, Audio Welcome, and Business Card
Browse and upload photographs, in any PhotoShop compatible format, of each person who will be on booth duty during the show. Next, prepare a short welcome message for each person. (We will provide guidelines for this). When you're ready to record your welcome messages send email to the
Show Administration. We will telephone each person, record their welcome message, convert it to RealMedia and place the finished product, image and audio, in your booth management console. Once activated, you can instantly change booth pictures and related audio welcome messages as booth personnel change.

Your Presentation Stage
You present videos, flash, synchronized audio slide, and manually advanced slide presentations in your Presentation Stage.
Videos
For best results, provide videos in a non-streaming format such as .avi or mpeg. We will size your video to 240 X 180 pixels convert it to RealMedia streaming format, and place it on a distributed networking server for playback.
Enter a description of each movie, and all other presentations, in your console for display in the Booth Information window.
Flash
Submit Flash presentations in .swf format. We will resize to fit and include it in your console. If you have the source Flash files, please send them also. This will allow us to make minor adjustments to your presentation as needed.

|
Synchronized Audio Slide Presentations
You can submit material for a synchronized audio slide presentation in two ways.
- Use the audio record option in PowerPoint to narrate your slide presentation. Zip the resultant file, including the .wav audio files, and submit it from your console.
- Send the slides to us first, and then arrange to record the audio portion by phone with us at a scheduled time.
We take this raw material and convert it to RealMedia streaming format.
Manually Advanced Slide Presentations
You can deliver trial software by having users download it from your server, or by shipping them a CD. Both options are configured directly from your console.
Demo Software
Submit Flash presentations in .swf format. We will resize to fit and include it in your console. If you have the source Flash files, please send them also. This will allow us to make minor adjustments to your presentation as needed.

Product Demonstrations
Product demonstration will appear in a separate pop-up window. There are a number of tools available for producing these types of presentations. We recommend ViewletBuilder from Qarbon, Inc. This tool is easy to use, works on both Unix and Windows platforms, and you can evaluate it for free by navigating to www.qarbon.com. The purchase price is approximately $1000. You can use any tool you desire, and we will work with you to integrate your product demo into your booth.
