Karen Bartleson, EDA Woman of the Year, to Speak at VirtualDACafe Online Show

We are proud to annouce that Karen Bartleson, director of Quality and Interoperability at Synopsys, and this year's winner of the Marie R. Pistilli Women in EDA Achievement Award, will present a Keynote address at the upcomming VirtualDACafe Summer 2003 online trade show.

Karen's speach will focus on Interoperatiliby issues, and will explore both the present, and the future directions for EDA.

Karen Bartleson joined Synopsys in 1995 and is currently director, Interoperability and Quality. Ms. Bartleson is responsible for initiatives and programs that further EDA interoperability and customer satisfaction through quality. Prior to joining Synopsys, Ms. Bartleson was CAD manager at UTMC (United Technologies Microelectronics Center) and Logic Analysis manager at Texas Instruments. Ms. Bartleson is a board member of Accellera and an active member of the EDAC interoperability and quality committee. She holds a BSEE from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo, California.
